Lagavulin 12 Year Old Special Release 2023, The Ink of Legends, is a distinctive Islay single malt Scotch whisky from Diageo’s 2023 Special Releases collection. This limited-edition expression is finished in Don Julio Añejo tequila casks, adding vibrant herbal and fruity dimensions to Lagavulin’s signature peat smoke.

Bottled at cask strength, it delivers a rich and intense character, combining bright citrus, juicy plum and subtle saltiness with layers of herbal smoke. The creamy, full-bodied palate develops into a long, smoky and peppery finish with lingering maritime notes.

Tasting Notes:
Aroma: Medicinal peat smoke, citrus, maritime notes, driftwood bonfire and savoury herbs.
Palate: Juicy plum, citrus, vanilla sweetness, sea salt, pepper and intense herbal smoke.
Finish: Long and smoky, with salty tang, peppery spice and lingering peat.

Serving Suggestion: Best enjoyed neat. Add a small splash of water to reveal additional citrus, fruit and smoky notes.
