“Eduardo and Víctor Hernáiz, current owners of Finca La Emperatriz, have decided to make substantial changes in their winemaking project. Wishing to recover the style of fine wines for ageing which were so important in the history of Rioja Alta, they have produced two wines from Viñedo Singular vineyards, a label awarded to unique small old plots which have historically produced a small yield of top-quality fruit.
Finca La Emperatriz Viñedo Singular Tinto is made from a careful blend of grapes from the oldest vines at the Finca La Emperatriz estate. A classic Rioja, it is a fine and elegant wine with clear precise aromas and flavours which has been awarded excellent ratings from all the top wine critics.
